Applications for the 3D Mega Capturor II DF
(Dual Field)
- The most versatile of all InSpeck Digitizers in that it is two
digitizers in one.
- Dual Field provides dual lenses, allowing both small field and medium
field of view objects to be digitized. Switching from one lens to the
other is done instantly through software.
- Halogen light-based, so safe for digitizing humans.
- Available for small field, medium field or large field of view.
- Computer animation and video game development.
- Movie special effects.
- Medical imaging and research - Mega version can capture over one million
points in under a second at a .3mm (.010 inch) resolution.
- Medical applications that require perhaps digitizing of a head as well
as an upper-torso. Switching lenses through software, this DF system
is two digitizers in a single unit.
- Any application where body measurements are required including
volumetric calculations, surface area and distance along surface.
- Captures texture, such as skin tone and detail as fine as human hair.
- Reverse Engineering - Conversion of a physical model to a mechanical /
industrial CAD
model. Mega option provides higher resolution, necessary for this
application for many mechanical and industrial reverse-engineering projects.
- Human trophy creation, art replication, etc. from digitized data using a
concept modeler (3D Printer).
- Utilizes award-winning InSpeck EM software to manipulate 3D model and
